Sami Khairy

Postdoctoral Researcher

I received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL, USA, in 2016 and 2021, respectively. I am currently a senior applied scientist with the IC3-AI team at Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory. My research interests span the broad areas of reinforcement learning, statistical machine learning, data-driven optimization of next generation wireless networks, and statistical signal processing. I received a Fulbright Predoctoral Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State in 2015, and the Starr/Fieldhouse Research Fellowship from Illinois Tech in 2019. I am a member of IEEE, IEEE ComSoc, IEEE HKN, SIAM, and AAAS.
